Even though there are MANY different facets of the self, we are ultimately whole and sitting within a sense of flow. Prana Flow

This ashtanga inspired vinyasa weaves it’s way through some traditional sun A’s and B’s into a playful and energetic array of standing poses. Some of my absolute favourite transitions are in here! We’ll look closely at triangle and parsvottanasana. (If your a little tight in your hamstrings go grab some blocks). You’ll be surprised just how many poses are in this flow. Intention here is not so much the poses themselves but how they are linked - through prana! Our primary force, notice how it ignites the senses and generates rhythm and ease within the practice.

Air Mandala

Moving 360 degrees around our mats, breathing and flowing through poses and inversions that open our shoulders, hip flexors and quads; and strengthen our back body allowing us to go deeper and more safely into backbends and heart openers; activating Anahata chakra, our heart centre. Be prepared this is the most energising of the 4 mandala classes launched in April ‘22. Expect to hop, jump and spring into action throughout this exuberant air mandala.

Fire Mandala

A playful and dynamic practice, moving 360 degrees around the mat, softly flowing through strong poses and inversions to the rhythm of the breath. The sequences are designed to target deep twists and the core abdominals. The class will begin and close and with some slower and soft postures to compliment the subtle chakra Manipura - placed deep within the physical body. A creative Vinyasa practice to satisfy and challenge the body and mind!

Flying Lift

Start with quiet contemplation. Practice upward abdominal lock (uddiyana bandha) as a way of cultivating core strength! Can we experience this through the transitions from down dog to stepping forward? Enjoy lots of hip and hamstring balances, as we migrate from the front to the back of the mat. Accessing your deep-internal center (aka your core) in a sometimes subtle and sometimes not subtle way. You will do a well-rounded practice, while awakening and connecting deep sensations in your body.

Sun Dial

Focus on using your navel center in order to establish a central pathway of connection from your core to your 5 limbs (arms, legs and head). Explore contracting and expanding poses to learn to support your limbs from your center, the solar plexus and inner sun dial. Enjoy some core work activating the lower bandhas, creative sun salutations to warm up, then move through standing poses; uttitha hasta padandgustasana, vashistasana and an array of kapotasanas along with vinyasas as your transition.

An hour yin class to sink your body into the Earths’ core. Here we use quite a few props to support us in this moon practice. You will need a large blank wall to support you for a few long holds mid way through the class.

Do you have the tendency to feel scattered or ungrounded? This practice is sure to bring your awareness back into your home, the centre of the body which is firmly rooted on the Earth. Let’s connect to the ground, and its great dense form, we’ll cultivate internal warmth, and slowly lubricate the joints to help you stay balanced and calm.

Teeter

A vinyasa flow to work into the suspension of your hip flexors and explore the unknown sensations of some funky balances. A playful practise which will drive you through some strong repeated movements, building heat slowly, but remaining anchored within the breath and inner stability. Watch as the mind pivots between known (traditional asanas) and the (sometimes wobbly) unknown. Remember it’s ok to fall, this is the type of practise you can just keep coming back to.

Seemingly

A gentle sun flow to open the side body through an array of balances, twists and heart openers. Starting with a circular transition from Warrior 2 to reverse warrior to warm up the body, moving towards a creative standing sequence to move you 360 around the mat and finally we finish with some hip stretches. Be prepared for little anatomical instruction in this simple, yet warm vinyasa.
The intention here is to allow the body to stay grounded as we flow from left to right side. Offer up each pose by closing the eyes, send awareness within. Our time on our mats is sacred; here we find balance between the two sides of the physical self - you might wonder where these seams find centre, where opposites collide? (Perhaps this is your enquiry for todays flow?)

Firefly

A warm and free flowing vinyasa to get the body ready for titibasana - frirefly pose. Firefly requires equal parts strength and length in the inner legs, hamstrings, glutes, and low back. This sequence is designed to prepare your body for this peak pose. Class includes a heart opening warm up, deep hip openers and static poses to wake up the core abdominals. Finally we cool down through a variety of supine twists and forward folds. While some of these challenging poses require focus, don't take yourself too seriously, this class was designed for play!

Veil of Truth

In Tantric texts they belief that our soul or inner light of awareness is covered by a veil of dust - a covering called ‘maya’. This film/dust is also known as the illusion that prevents us from seeing the world clearly. Here we lift that veil of illusion - using the physical practise to unearth what lies beneath. Can we really use this time on our mats to sink into a state of flow, moving to and fro can we quieten our busy minds? This practise slightly repeats certain movements and particular poses. There is slightly more attention towards the hips and pelvis - a great practise if you are trying to mentally process something or if your looking for an all body stretch.
