Free Flowing Mama
Enjoy this fluid vinyasa to stretch open your side waist and gently release your hip flexors. Ideal for yogis with an established practice who are in the 2nd-3rd trimester of pregnancy. Tap into your ability to expand from centre through this flow which includes some deep low lunges, fluid movement of the upper limbs to open up the back and side body with some nourishing seated poses to finish. Each asana comes with an essence of support and structure, helping mummy feel grounded and rested.
Please note although this is a pregnancy practice, it’s also the perfect way to unwind from a busy day if you want some movement but nothing too energetic! Your all welcome to give this a go.

Pocket Yin - Air
Vijnanamaya kosha is the fourth of the five layers, or sheaths, of the body, which are collectively referred to as pancha kosha. Vijnanamaya kosha is the intellect/wisdom/knowledge sheath. Here we take in our Air element in a short sequence of long open holds. This element is one of the most subtle sheaths of the Kosha systems, here we can contemplate Viveka - our keen discernment between what is energising us and nourishing the self v when is destructive and perhaps draining for the self.

Our water yin is all about our connection to the second layer of the body (pranamaya kosha) our sense of prana. On a cellular level prana drives all awareness through the body, it stimulates digestion, circulation, respiration and excretion. A slow, meditative flow which contemplates Dhāraṇā and pratyahara; the minds ability to pour our awareness inwards to a central focal point. Patanjali wrote that this is a way of finding the one pointed mind. Nothing in this world can be archived when the mind is busy digesting multiple stimuli. So let’s use this practice to investigate the senses. What sense organ is dominant today, the eyes? The ears? How can we close off our external environment to learn from the internal vibrations? This is a gentle vinyasa practice, simple yet heart opening and fluid. Take your time and drink in this precious moment in time.
