A fluid yet nourishing practice which focuses on gentle twists and turns. A brilliant flow if you are later on in your pregnancy. Safe twists can relieve tension and help your belly feel good! Move steadily through a satisfying array of grounded poses such as thread the needle, side angle and kneeling stretches. Pure yumminess for mummies who want to flow within a short space of time.

Enjoy this fluid vinyasa to stretch open your side waist and gently release your hip flexors. Ideal for yogis with an established practice who are in the 2nd-3rd trimester of pregnancy. Tap into your ability to expand from centre through this flow which includes some deep low lunges, fluid movement of the upper limbs to open up the back and side body with some nourishing seated poses to finish. Each asana comes with an essence of support and structure, helping mummy feel grounded and rested.
Please note although this is a pregnancy practice, it’s also the perfect way to unwind from a busy day if you want some movement but nothing too energetic! Your all welcome to give this a go.

Vijnanamaya kosha is the fourth of the five layers, or sheaths, of the body, which are collectively referred to as pancha kosha. Vijnanamaya kosha is the intellect/wisdom/knowledge sheath. Here we take in our Air element in a short sequence of long open holds. This element is one of the most subtle sheaths of the Kosha systems, here we can contemplate Viveka - our keen discernment between what is energising us and nourishing the self v when is destructive and perhaps draining for the self.

Working towards the third layer of the kosha system (manomaya), we look at the flames of the mind. Focusing on the more psychological aspects of the practice, noticing how the mind itself moves in multiple directions, from random thoughts to more familiar patterns. Let’s watch where the mind travels to in this slow and nourishing practice. Expect plenty of twists, long holds and a little philosophy to get you thinking!

Our water yin is all about our connection to the second layer of the body (pranamaya kosha) our sense of prana. On a cellular level prana drives all awareness through the body, it stimulates digestion, circulation, respiration and excretion. So you see prana is not just the breath but the electric current causing ALL movement within - it is truly magical and constantly flowing.
