Here we learn to stretch out time, moving slowly, encouraging the limps to lengthen and expand with the motion of our breath. Lets take each moment as they come, calm down our reactions and move quietly. Expect no chaturangas in this water flow, sink into you’re expansion, into you’re surrounding orb of light.

A slow, meditative flow which will move you from your waist. Here we allow our mind to rest into the mid section of the body, leaning into the lateral lines of our frame to stretch and unfurl from standing to seated poses. Expect some unusual variations on traditional poses such as anjaneyasana and Utthita Ashwa Sanchalanasana (high lunge).

A slow, meditative flow which contemplates Dhāraṇā and pratyahara; the minds ability to pour our awareness inwards to a central focal point. Patanjali wrote that this is a way of finding the one pointed mind. Nothing in this world can be archived when the mind is busy digesting multiple stimuli. So let’s use this practice to investigate the senses. What sense organ is dominant today, the eyes? The ears? How can we close off our external environment to learn from the internal vibrations? This is a gentle vinyasa practice, simple yet heart opening and fluid. Take your time and drink in this precious moment in time.

When we move a little slower we have the opportunity to sink into pockets of stillness, quiet and contemplation for the self. Our awareness can re-write the past, re-imagine the future but again and again can our practise seek to find presence - a quiet sense of joy for just being here. Learn to drop in to yourself with this steady and grounding flow. We all need to add a little yin flow to our yang lives at some point. This will surely help your mind settle.

An uncomplicated vinyasa, slow, considered with no chaturangas. The focus is moving with precision, as if floating the limbs through liquid honey. A great class to not only lengthen your hamstrings but to find extra support from the upper body - shoulders, arms and hands. If you don’t have 2 blocks at home - 2 thick books of a similar size will do, these will act as your arm extenders. This flow is great if your short of time but want to stretch your legs and strengthen your tummy muscles.

In a slower practice we have time to tune into the inner workings of the body. What is active, dynamic, energetic - yang, versus what is feeling a little softer, quieter and steady - yin.
