A light and playful vinyasa flow working into some unusual variations of reverse warrior and dekasana (W3). Starting with a heart opening lunges, followed by spring hops from malasana and a strong yet light vinyasa to work into our legs and core abdominals. Clearing Space

Let’s go back to the root of yoga, what does yoga mean; ‘chitta vritti nirodha’ - which is translated as ‘The calming of mental fluctuations’. We can’t help but have busy, distracted minds but here in this 45 min flow we’ll use this time to remove a few waves from the mental lake of our mind.

Just In Time

Spend a little moment pondering over the concept of time in this energising and powerful vinyasa flow. Bryon Katie a beautiful Author of ‘The Mind at Home with Itself’ gives a lovely analogy of time as it moves past the body like the wake of a ship. How pain or discomfort are always in a process of finishing but joy and love are always head of us - ‘eventually though practise, you no longer impose your thinking onto reality, and can experience everything as it really is: pure grace’. This vinyasa toys this this notion and works into a multitude of quad stretches, deep hip holds and funky binds.

Here we relay on the anchor of breath to ground this nourishing and creative vinyasa flow. This vinyasa looks into a little bit of everything from back bends, twists and lots and lots of standing splits! The peak pose is a deceivingly ‘simple’ toppling tree and bird of paradise. (A favourite if the hamstrings are steady and strong.) Enjoy moving to the front to the back of the mat in this mandala inspired, uncomplicated flow. A great choice if your hamstrings need a little love!

Maybe we need to stop trying so hard to control the world around us and instead ask the question - can I be absolutely sure these thoughts are worthy and correct? Definitely a practise to ponder.
